She also shot five additional projects during the time between "Twilight," including "Up in the Air". She played George Clooney in that film, which earned her an Oscar. She has been a participant in a number of commercially and critically-acclaimed projects since her debut in the film, such as "Scott Pilgrim Vs. America". Anna Cook Kendrick was conceived in Portland, Maine, on the 9th day of August 1985. Her mother worked as an accountant while her father was a teacher of history. Anna was raised by her older brother Michael, an actor, who later went on to become an actor. Anna Kendrick started auditioning for Broadway shows as a teenager at Deering High School, Portland. At the age of 12 and her first major stage part was High Society. Although she was just a little girl she was awarded numerous nominations and awards. She was an actor in A Little Night Music as an occasional role. She made her film debut at Camp in the same year, aged 15 years old. Kendrick was nominated for a Grammy Award for her performance and Rocket Science 2007.
