She was a well-known child actor thanks to her role in E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. A highly publicized early life which was marred by alcohol and drugs abuse, she released an autobiography Little Girl Lost. [1] She starred in a string of successful films in the 90s and 2000s, which included Charlie's Angels, Never Been Kissed, Poison Ivy, Boys on the Side, Mad Love, Batman Forever, Scream and Ever After. Barrymore played together with Adam Sandler on three films, The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates. Other films she's been a part of in include Firestarter and Donnie Darko. In Whip It, her directorial debut, she appeared in the film. Grey Gardens won her a Screen Actors Guild Award as well as an Golden Globe Award. She was a part of the Netflix series Santa Clarita Diet and currently hosts her talk show on syndicated The Drew Barrymore Show.
